Review Artikel : Fitosterol Dalam Bekatul dan Manfaat Bagi Kesehatan
Abstract
Bekatul, sebagai hasil samping pengolahan padi, memiliki kandungan gizi yang baik dan kaya akan komponen bioaktif. Bekatul telah banyak dilaporkan memiliki manfaat bagi kesehatan, misalnya aktivitas antioksidan, aktivitas kemopreventif kanker, dan aktivitas hipokolesterolemik. Metode yang digunakan yaitu literatur review yang berasal dari jurnal, buku dan hasil penelitian lainnya dari berbagai referensi mengenai fitosterol dalam bekatul dan manfaat bagi kesehatan. Hal ini bertujuan untuk memberikan ringkasan berupa publikasi yang relevan dan meningkatkan pemahaman terkini. Selain itu, minyak dedak padi telah terbukti memiliki banyak manfaat kesehatan seperti ketahanan terhadap kanker, peradangan, alergi dan bakteri, pengurangan kolesterol, perlindungan kulit, obesitas, pengendalian diabetes. Artikel tersebut menekankan beberapa manfaat kesehatan. Pemahaman mendalam tentang kemajuan penelitian fitosterol dari minyak dedak padi dapat memberikan wawasan berharga mengenai pemanfaatan sumber daya dedak padi secara paling efektif.
