Transformation Management of Wi-Fi Network System Utilization as a Learning Medium and Information System at SMP N 4 SATAP SITIM.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the transformation management regarding the utilization of the Wi-Fi network system as a learning medium and information system at SMP Negeri 4 Satu Atap Siau Timur. The research focuses on the planning, implementation, management, and evaluation of Wi-Fi network utilization in support of the learning process and school information services. A qualitative approach with a descriptive method was employed. Data were collected through observations, interviews with the principal, teachers, educational staff, and students, as well as a review of relevant documents.

The results indicate that the transformation management of the Wi-Fi network system has positively impacted the effectiveness of learning and school information management. During the planning stage, the school formulated network infrastructure development policies aligned with the needs of technology-based learning. In the implementation stage, the Wi-Fi network was utilized to access digital learning resources, support learning platforms, facilitate communication between teachers and students, and disseminate academic and administrative information. Regarding management, the school conducted network maintenance, managed user access, and monitored internet usage to ensure service security and smooth operation.

The study concludes that the transformation management of the Wi-Fi network system at SMP Negeri 4 Satu Atap Siau Timur has proceeded effectively and contributed to improving learning quality and the school's information system. However, further improvements are needed specifically regarding network infrastructure capacity, the digital competencies of educators and students, and sustainable information management policies to optimize the utilization of the Wi-Fi network.
