Abstract
This study aims to analyze the effect of self esteem and self efficacy on work
readiness among Management students at the University of Riau, class of 2021.
This research employs a quantitative approach with a population of 331 students
and a sample of 181 respondents, determined using the Slovin formula with a
simple random sampling technique. Data were collected through questionnaires
and analyzed using multiple linear regression with the assistance of SPSS version
23. The data analysis techniques included data quality tests, classical assumption
tests, multiple linear regression analysis, and the coefficient of determination with
a significance level of 0.05. The results of this study indicate that self esteem and
self efficacy have a positive and significant effect on work readiness, both
partially and simultaneously. Based on the coefficient of determination (R²) test, a
value of 0.593 was obtained, indicating that self esteem and self efficacy
simultaneously contribute 59.3% to students’ work readiness, while the remaining
40.7% is influenced by other variables outside this study.
