Abstract

Abstract: This research aimed to increase the ability of university students in Library Management Subject through the using of Mastery Learning Method. The kind of research used in this research was Class Action Research. The total of population unit was 120 persons and the total of sample was 20 persons. The collecting data in this research used performance test from first cycle to second cycle in order to get cognitive score, psychomotor score and affective score, the percentage  of students who achieved minimum completeness criteria, and the mean score. This research also used questionnaire to get the percentage of students who had interested in learning by using Mastery Learning Method. The result of data analyzed showed that learning of  Library Management Subject by using Mastery Learning Method could increase the learning ability and interest of students. It was proved by the mean score of students achieved the minimum completeness criteria (good score), it was 75 in the first cycle become 85 (high score) in the second cycle. The learning interest and motivation of students incresed by using mastery Learning. It  proved that the percentage of students' positive reaction in learning by using mastery Learning in first cycle was 80 % become 90 % in second cycle.
